Starting in the North, you will visit Lalibela to explore the ancient rock hewn churches for which this ancient city is famous, as well as Gondar, known as the “Camelot of Africa”.
Visit the town of Aksum, which figures at the center of many religious mysteries: it is said to be the home of the Ark of the Covenant, former home of the Queen of Sheba and the burial site of one of the wise men.
After a stop at Lake Langano, you will head down to the South to learn more about this remote region and its fascinating people, including the Hamer tribe and the Mursi, known for their elaborate lip plates made of clay.
