Ashley’s Seychelles Itinerary:
DAY 02: TUESDAY 10TH MAY, 2011: 

0730 hrs: Transfer from hotel for your day’s activities.

0800 hrs: Guided tour of the Vallee de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area is the home of the world famous Coco de Mer, the world’s largest nut which grows naturally only in the Seychelles

1030 hrs: Transfer for a visit of the Museum showcasing the traditions of Seychelles as well as its culture. The Museum also features a garden of endemic and medicinal plants of Seychelles where visitors can view fruit bats and also enjoy a glass of Citronelle tea or local fruit juice. You will also have the opportunity to participate in coconut de husking and other traditional activities which give a taste of the traditions of yesteryear.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

1400 hrs: Transfer to jetty to board ferry to La Digue island.

1430 hrs: Departure of ferry from Praslin

1445 hrs: Arrival of ferry on La Digue. 
Meet & Greet.


Your guide will take you for an adventurous guided discovery tour of the hot spots of the island, which is the fourth biggest island in the Seychelles group of islands and the third most populated. 

La Digue is well known for its traditional ox-cart & bicycles which are the main mode of transportation unique to the island. Choose to discover the charms of La Digue by bicycle or ox cart, depending on availability.

Sights to see are:
L’Union Estate – with its old copra kiln, a Creole house and a vanilla plantation amongst other remnants of the past. The estate has been used for weddings, photo shoots, and filming, amongst which is the famous ‘Goodbye Emmanuel’.

Anse Source d’Argent – one of the most the most filmed beaches in the world, this beautiful beach has ‘graced’ the covers of numerous publications. With its impressive granite rock formation, the white sandy beach, the turquoise pure water, this beach is the perfect place to unwind and take in the beauty of this evocative place, a source of inspiration of numerous artistes.

1715 hrs: Transfer to the jetty

1745 hrs: Departure of ferry from
La Digue back to Praslin.

1800 hrs: Arrival on Praslin and transfer 
to La Reserve Hotel.

Evening – dinner at the resort.
